From 17 to 20 May Catania, the city of the elephant, will host the international street food festival “Street food”. Along the famous and beautiful Via Etnea which will be transformed into a real open-air kitchen where over thirty national and international “street fooders” will offer their own delicious specialties to delight your palates and compete to obtain the coveted “Street” award food fest”.
A rich and varied gastronomic village: island traditionalists will find panelle, bread with horse meat, sfincioni bagheresi, Trapani focaccia with ricotta, pani cunzatu, arancine, fried fish; nationalist foodies, on the other hand, Abruzzo kebabs, fried gnocco, Bolognese tigelle and crescentine, sausage, fried pizza and whoever you want
will be able to go beyond the borders with a single bite you can fly to Thailand with kai satè or to Mexico with burritos or to Spain with paella or meat tapas… in short, so on and so forth, up to the desserts where the cannoli and granitas will be the absolute protagonists accompanied by the famous “co tuppo” brioscia.

Thus your classic city walk will become not only an opportunity to taste the numerous and varied dishes of street cuisine, to learn about its traditions and curiosities but also to have fun with the live music programs and shows that will enliven the beautiful
Via Etnea for the entire duration of the festival.
